Procurement

Procurement

Maximum quality at minimum cost: there can be no doubt that this is what you are after when you buy in parts. Dynamics NAV can help you with this. The system generates purchase proposals based on your estimates. Dynamics NAV keeps track of when you need what part, based on project’s requirements and stock levels. Based on the proposal, you can indicate yourself what is actually needed, for example, screws, a motor, a flagpole, or containers of paint. Then you simply need to request quotes from your suppliers. You determine what the delivery dates need to be, when you need to receive the parts, and by when they actually need to have come in. Additionally, you can also keep a record of any complaints. This way, you monitor your suppliers on their punctuality, rigor, and quality.

In order to make the payment process run smoothly, you can make use of digital approval. You scan the supplier’s invoice and the maritime module automatically attaches it to the right job. Is the information correct? You only pay when it is. This also makes it easy to monitor your budgets. On the basis of your estimates, you can see what budget has been earmarked for purchasing and it is easy to make sure that it is not exceeded. Furthermore, you have complete insight into the purchase history, whether by project, by supplier, or by part. You can turn out a report containing, for example, the price, the supplier, the serial number, the type, and actual stock. Dynamics NAV ensures maximum control and understanding of your business processes.
